Baby Blake

First ultrasound is 10 weeks 4 days, second ultrasound is 6 weeks 2 days

I have posted so much about this pregnancy on twitter and facebook but in order to avoid overload I wanted a place to condense everything. (Holy run on sentence lol). I am a planner, I love to see what I'm going to do on paper before its done. This baby was/is a total surprise for us. However, I wouldn't ask for it any other way. We were blessed with this gift and plan to cherish every moment we get.

I found out I was pregnant on October 25,2010. I remember it like it was yesterday. My period was a bit late (like 2 days). I'm pretty neurotic about my body. I keep track of my ovulation dates, periods, doctor visits, yearly exams etc. So I decided to take a couple pregnancy tests that we received with some ovulation test trips we had previously ordered. The first test I took I was sure it would just be one line which means negative. I glance down at the test and see one very solid line and then one very light one. Immediately my brain went into "suspect/doubt" mode. I decided to take another test. It also showed two lines. I sent my husband pictures of both pregnancy tests. He is in the Navy and at the time he was away for training in Pensacola,FL. It was the last few days of his training and he was about to take his final test. He gets the text and texts back, "Babe, what are those" I text back and tell him they are positive pregnancy tests. Five seconds later I get a call from him saying "TAKE A 3RD TEST!" I took another test and it was positive too. We were both still very suspect and not trusting these three very positive tests.

I scheduled a doctor's appointment for the same week and was told that I was definitely pregnant. lol It was a crazy time and such a surprise but we are very excited to be adding a baby to our little family. It is also a small miracle. At the beginning of October I decided to drive down to Florida and pick up my husband on a 4 day weekend so I could see him. We knew it was the weekend of my ovulation because we keep track of it but we didn't think I'd get pregnant. Or...we just weren't thinking about it lol.

I am in my second trimester. I am 14 weeks and 2 days pregnant. We find out the sex of our baby through 3d ultrasound on Jan 13. We are going so early because of some Navy stuff that might make him miss the later gender scan. I think the baby will be a girl. I just have this feeling. The hubs wants a boy. I am indifferent. I just want to see all those fingers and toes.

All in all I am very excited and my husband is overjoyed. I have my complaints but I'll post about those later. lol =)
